Febuary at the Porterhouse sees the official launch of our brand new food menu featuring some stunning additions. A superb seafood chowder, a smashing prawns pil pil and that's just two of our new starters!! We all know that we do great pizzas here at the Porterhouse and we have revamped our set pizza menu with four brand new recipes! There are just far to many fantastic new dishes to name them all so you will just have to come down to us and check them out (or check under the menu section of this website)

The Next few months will see the rise of the rugby season which gets into full swing with kicking off our festival of rugby the first weekend in February not to mention the St Patrick's day meeting of Ireland versus England!! P.S the chocolate truffle stout will be along on the 1st of April - no joke I swear

The Eclectic Garden has had itself a little makeover with our brand new DJ Box taking centre stage (well a little to the right). The next couple of months will see us host a raft of top celebrity DJ's, personalities, entertainers and so forth so keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and emails - we may send you posters in the pub and club adverts on our TV screens.

Basically we want you to stalk us for more info.

Rain sleet or snow the Porterhouse Bray is the place to go this Christmas!! Let's get the simple stuff out of the way: we are based on the seafront in Bray and we know it can get a little cold down here this time of year so we have put a lovely little heated marquee outside for you to enjoy over the festive period!! "A heated marquee" you say. "Well that's ok but what else have you got in that marquee?" Let me tell ya - we've got live music in it every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the 2nd of December right through to the 1st of January and we have it all from handsome singer song writers like our very own local legend Stephen Hayes to the 80's 90's and 00's styling's of Derek Jordan! Not to mention the musical equivalent to Plain Porter as in they are 100% Irish to the core the bog o' the Loughs!!! And if you're feeling a little peckish while enjoying all this free live entertainment we are putting on maybe you can book in for some finger food from our super Christmas finger food menu for €9.95 PER person or if you're feeling a little fancier you could book your group in for our Four course Christmas feast for €24.95 per person yes that’s four courses for €24.95

Love a little Festive banter? Well on Friday the 16th of December we will be hosting our first and hopefully best and not last (because I love them so much) funky geansai nollaig night!! With prizes on the night for the dodgiest pullovers!!!

If like me you are a child of the 90's have I got some smashin' news for you because I can tell ya once - I'm not telling ya twice - Smash Hits, yes that's the one and only 90's party machine are back in the Eclectic Garden on Wednesday the 21st of December for our Eclectic Garden customer appreciation night. Oh I nearly forgot - to top it all off on that night our good selves and the good people of Dellcassian and Schwarzhog will be attempting an amazing 1200 shot Hog train and to say thanks to you guys we are going to need some help drinking them after the big drop!!!

Moving along swiftly to St. Stephens night - that's the day after Christmas day for those of you normally too hungover to remember your own name - we have the fantastic Cujo Family live on stage in the Eclectic Garden!! People generally say I'm a little uptight but these guys always get me swaying to that folksy sound that they in my very humble opinion have made their own. I remember the bac bar when the DJ's got drunk - it smelt like stale beer and normally had a sprinkling of vomit and sawdust. Well we are going to try to bring you back there hopefully without the vomit but if I know Boc McCann and DJ Micky G there will defo be pints drank by the DJs! Along with the Harbour Bar, we are launching our first annual RE-UNION NIGHT. Hit the harbour, watch a great band and head down to the BAC BAR and dance the night away to some cheesy ass tunes. This used to be the staple night out in Bray and we are bringing it back for one night only with Even Deeper, the great band in the harbour and DJ's Boc McCann and Micky G providing the cheesy tunes in the BAC BAR!!

New Years Eve KNIGHTS OF LEON!! Enough said its going to be EPIC if you're not here you're going to be somewhere a lot less fun!!!!!!

PS: if like me you're gonna be breaking your proverbial over the festive season making sure that everyone other than yourselves have a very merry one on new years night we are throwing the industry party of the new year for all you tired ass : bartenders, waiting staff ,doorstaff, barbacks, chefs, kitchen porters ,meters and greeters (Dan byrne we will miss you) we are putting on a night just for you
