Happy New Year from all at The Porterhouse, Covent Garden.

What a year it is going to be. Six Nations Rugby starts on Saturday, 4th February and we will be showing all matches live on our big screen and all the TVs, with the final match England v Ireland at 5pm on Saturday, 17th March – St. Patrick’s Day. It is going to be an exciting crazy day!! Will keep you posted on all events for St. Patrick’s Day.

The first weekend in June brings the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Peter, our head brewer in Dublin is planning a special brew for the occasion.

European Championships 2012 starts Friday, 8th June. We will be showing all games live so come along and support your team.

The Olympics from 27th July to 12th August and Paralympics from 29th August to 9th September will be a ‘must watch’ event for all you sport fanatics.

We are planning Beer Festivals and special beer promotions throughout the year and will post all events on the website.

Rumour has it that Christmas is on the way. We have our Christmas tree and Christmas lights up and are ready. Lots of functions organised but some space available for smaller groups. Check out our menus on the website. We have live bands playing in the Basement Bar Wednesday, 7th to Saturday 10th, Tuesday 13th to Saturday 17th and Monday 19th to Thursday 22nd December from 8.30pm onwards. Lively evenings guaranteed here at The Porterhouse, Covent Garden. Traditional Irish Seisiun on Sundays from 5pm.

The Chaps are a four piece lively acoustic band and made their debut in The Porterhouse on Wednesday 7th December to an excited and enthusiastic crowd. Due to their popularity we will have them again this Wednesday 14th Dec. They will make you smile as they perform hit after hit in their own energetic and unique style with a lot of infectious fun thrown in.

New Year's Tickets now available at £10 each. Bar open 6.30pm until 1.30am. Live music with The Dons - a rock and pop covers band who will have us rocking the old year away and getting us in the mood for 2012.
