Here we are well into the new year now and so far its been positive. We think people have stud up to the recession and said feck it lets have some fun and they are bloody right.
Especially when there are so many great deals to be had here in Porterhouse North..... Monday to Thursdays all Porterhouse Draughts only €4 and €1 off all cocktails, Fridays its 2 for 1 on daiquiris all night long, The Sunday Blowout has €5 cocktails all day long & DJ Zoggy. We continuously have beer bottle specials and our €20 meal deal (Starter,main and a drink). Good times!
We are looking forward to all the upcoming sport this Feb. Big excitement for The RBS Six Nations this year. Cant wait C'mon Ireland. The Premiership, Champions League, FA Cup are very much getting down to the business end of things. There will be some super big names clashes shown on our massive screen live all through feb and beyond.

Hope we are all well. Loads going on here at North at the MOment (pun intended). The guys behind the bar are all (the ones who can) growing there moustaches raising money for Movember. We all look a bit silly but sure its a bit of craic and its for a great cause.
Our Czech Beer festival is running as we blog and we have 3 Czech beers including our own hand-crafted Bohemia which is a 5% Dark Lager. All our Czech beers are limited editions so make sure you call in to try some before they are all gone.
Yes if you have drove by North over the last few days you will see our Christmas Decorations have gone up.... Too early?! Nah never we are just eager to get the festive season going. Its going to be a mad Christmas so many days booked out already. One of the biggest New years parties will be taking place here in North well if its anything like last year. Pure madness. Tips for this year come early as those leave it late to come maybe be disappointed.

Hope all is well. Here in North we love October because there is always so much happening. Obviously our beer selection always increases with the due to Oktoberfest we have 7 different bottles and so far we have had 3 different draughts on offer with a few more to come so make sure you ask what we have pouring at the bar. We recently got a boxing machine in the beer garden as you can imagine the staff and the customers are loving. A bit of competition between the staff.
Both European cups are in full flight and are both shown on our bigscreen. The Sunday blowout is going great with €5 cocktails, beer bottle specials all day, Late Bar and DJ Pauly D..... Cocktails flying out!!
One of our favourite nights of the year is Trick or Treat for Temple St fancy dress fundraiser mad night last and is expected to be equally as mad this years. Its a great cause and great fun for all involved. Hope to see you all there.

Well Guys hope all is well in blog land. Its been a super start to August. We had special guest in a few weeks back who brought a few of our staff on a little run through the village with the Olympic Torch. The one and only Sonia O'Sullivan so great that she dropped in. Some women. Congrats again to Katie and all the boxers who did our little country so proud. All Legends in there own right.
Here in North we are very excited about the Premiership Kicking off this Saturday always brings a great buzz around the place. There is only one question that is constantly floating about here at the moment and thats....CAN THE DUBS RECLAIM SAM!? Semis are coming up soon. Mayo will be tough though! Remember we have the Sunday Blowout every Sunday all cocktails €5 all day. With the biggest screen in D9 we are the best place to catch all the live sport. DJ AND LATE BAR every Friday and Saturday

Well the Euros have come and gone and ALAS we did not win it..... But we had a bloody good time watching them trying there little hearts out some great banter had in here over the tournament. Can trap get us to the world cup 2014!?
Anyway thats all in the past now here to the future we are looking forward to all the big Dublin games coming up this month in croker and of course to watching all our Olympians in action this month on our big screen. Our New food options have been on our menu for well over a month now and all of them are extremely popular notably the Baked Cod, The Chilli Cheese Burger and The Oriental Pizza are selling really well with you guys.
The Middle of June we launched the The Sunday Blowout..... Which includes €5 Cocktail Specials and shooter specials all day long.

Hey all,
We have had a fantastic couple of weeks here in the porterhouse north all of our customers in great form thanks to Mr Sun, The side decking is an amazing suntrap and we have customers in soaking it up all day long.... So hopefully the sun will continue for the whole of June.
Good weather Bad weather it really doesnt matter as this month is going to be a super month for all our patrons. Dublin Football are on the Hunt for Sam again there first game the 3rd of june against Louth join us for a pint and some food before the game.
We have been waiting since 1988 but finally we are back in the European Championship. We are the Northside Irish HQ it will be a festival feel here oozing green, white and orange. We boast the biggest screen in D9 and lots of bigscreen TVs inside and outside. GREEN must be worn to support the boys. Why not try this months cocktail special The Euro 2012?
We will be hosting 3 massive after parties for the Westlife Gigs on the 23rd, 24th and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers 26th of june. Going to be insane in here.

We hope that you are all well... Where shall we start!? Well i suppose the biggest thing about this month is the 19th two MEGA finals and only one MEGA venue to watch them both on the biggest screen this side of the Liffey. An all Ireland Heineken cup Final Leinster Vs Ulster followed by Bayern Vs Chelsea in Bayerns home ground.... The 19th will surely be a day that sporting history will be made.
As you blog readers probably know May is all about the Hops. So we have some gorgeous new ales in for you all to try. Sierra Nevada, Galway Hooker and Metal Man are all on draught and we have O'Haras Pale Ale and Howling Gale Ale in bottles. Seriously Tasty ales.
We have added to our already fantastic food menu..... Baked Cod, Pollo Penne, Chilli Cheese Burger, Prawn Pil Pil and the Prawn Piri Piri Pizza..... All the staff have tried all the new editions neeedless to say there have been some very happy and full staff floating around the floor. Any questions about the food just ask!!
In the build up to Euro 2012 this months Cocktail is called The Road to Euro 2012.... You want to know whats in it!? Better call in and find out!! We have a great variety of weekly Beer bottles specials which are only €4 for the whole month of May. Just ask your server when you are in!
Now hopefully the Sun will appear this month and I think everybody will be happy.

Hi all you blog readers.
We would like to start by saying thank you to all who showed up for St Patricks weekend it was madness good to see so many familiar faces. Roll on Easter weekend.
Over the last few weeks we have been increasing our beer family. We now have Sierra Nevada, Fruli Strawberry beer and of course we just introduced our very Chocolate truffle Stout which are all on draught. In terms of our new bottle range we have Directors Ale , Ginger Joes, Crabbies, Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Celebration. We are constantly expanding our range of beers so please ask when your in next about some of our new beers.
Preparations for euro 2012 have begun we will have the bar decked out in green white and orange... We will also have a few special cocktails designed by our staff and maybe the help of a few customers. Heineken cup is really heating up and we will be expecting big crowds in supporting leinster munster and ulster.
The weather was amazing last week which meant there was a super atmosphere all week all around the pub in doors and out lets hope we have a great summer.

Hi Guys, Thanks for checking out Porterhouse North. Mad Christmas time and we would like to thank all who were here for our massive NYE blow out.
However, this is all in the past and here at Porterhouse North we are looking very much to the future. One word to describe how we are feeling about the next few months is EXCITEMENT!! So much to look forward to...
St. Patrick’s Day going to be another epic day especially with our boys in green taking on the English on our national day in the RBS Six Nations. Even if you are not a supporter of rugby I think you will be roaring at our massive projecter!! Paddys Day = Great Irish music, Great Irish banter, and EVEN GREATER 100% Irish Beer.
Sportswise it’s off the wall...
RBS Six Nations, The Champions League playoffs & final, The Heineken cup playoffs & Final, FA CUP, The Olympics etc..
The big one this summer is EURO 2012. It has been along time since we were there and here at the Porterhouse North we promise to be the biggest and best supporter. This June we are all about the GREEN WHITE AND ORANGE.
A few big gigs coming in Croke Park - WESTLIFE for two days and the RHCP…. We will be the biggest and best before and after parties of these massive stadium concerts.
Anyway guys, thank you for reading and we hope to see you in soon for a sneaky pint of Plain and an aul chinwag.

This is exciting...
Hello to all our lil blog readers out there.
We are late with our blog because we have been so busy with all our Christmas preparations we just got the place fully decorated. It's so festive we think Santa and his Elves might just fit right in here. We certainly have the space for all the Elf & Reindeer after work parties.
Our first weekend in December has gone by and we hope they are all like that. Thanks to all the parties and bookings that were here over the course of the weekend. Really a great festive feel to the place. Our two resident DJs (DJ Duffy: Fridays DJ Doogan: Saturdays) had everyone up on the dance floor all weekend. The place was kicking. Our Sunday bands are going great. Always a nice buzz around each Sunday from 9pm - some super bands coming over the next few weeks with the likes of Crosstown and Santoria. Our live football shown on our big screen always gets a crowd in even on a Monday or Tuesday. I think its mainly for our wings though. Have you tried them?
In other news Come Dine with me Ireland popped in to film a couple of weeks ago. We had a few of the All-Ireland Dublin team in for a few casual drinks of our finest porter over the last few weeks also.
We suggest if you are thinking of coming to us this Christmas best to give us a call as we are filling up as they days go by.
